Ram Kumar was a second-class officer in The National Bank of Nepal. Married for thirty-five years to the same devoted woman and working year after year amidst the same stack of ledger files, he could be best described as normal. With gaunt features, thick horn rimmed spectacles and a toothbrush moustache, Ram looked as if he was born to be a bank clerk.
