Poem : Blasphemous Master

~K. Anish Pokharel~

Oh Messiah!
Of clairvoyance and absurdity,
where art thou?
Hear me,
For they say, ‘ voice of the distressed never go
unheard.’
But,

Is my voice muffled?
Or my words incomprehensible?
Or my ‘self’ too insignificant to be heeded at?
You made me-I need an answer.
Why my existence so trivial ?
And my identity so paltry?
Listen,
Oh! The one with the deaf ears;
Before your creation ossifies in the air
Or before all that is holy is profaned!
I need an answer.
What is my destiny?
I seek for peace- you give me blood;
I seek for harmony –you give me chaos;
I seek for sanity- you give me pain;
I seek for meaning-you give me riddles!
But,
How long should I wail?
Before it dawns on me,
Why am I alive and not dead?
