Translated Poem : Shaking Palms

~Mani Lohani~
Translated by Yuyutsu Sharma

This evening
and the birds returning to their nests.

The burning moon
and like our youth
flowing waters of the brook.

I attempt to grasp
the moon wavering in the brook

like I hold your face,
cupped in my shaking palms

And every time I lose.
