Poem : Solitude’s Embrace

~Swami Subash Chandra~Swami Subash Chandra

I know now
Why I like the solitude
I know now
Why I love to hear the sounds of silence with closed eyes.
I came to realize that
I love someone’s love to me
I embrace someone’s embrace to me
I lean on someone
Who leans on me.
When I gently caress, with my partially closed eyes
and surrender myself
to the solitude that extends through the cascade of mountains,
it too, takes off its layers of secrets, one by one
and surrenders them to me
like someone surrenders her secrets, one by one
to her lover.
