Poem : Who is she?

~Pranati Koirala~

Eyes focused on those rosy cheeks
As she descended from the stairs
He was amazed and shocked
That such a rare beauty could even exist
Keeping him spell bounded by the charm,
“Where on earth did she come from?”

Hi! And hello! Sounds could be heard
The soft, nightingale voice echoed in his ears
And as she came near, he could hear
Drums beating inside him along with,
The nervousness, which made him, shiver.

“Excuse me! Could you please tell me
The way to the library?” she asked.
Numbness was felt on the whole body
Yet, it seemed like a dream and
He didn’t realize that she was
Actually talking to him.

“Library? What library?” he added.
Thus, the puzzled eyes stared at him,
God knows for how long
When finally he came to his sense
And muttered, “Oh! Library? To your right please.”

“Thank you” was the last thing he heard,
Then she turned and drifted away
But his eyes followed her
Until she was out of sight
He took a deep breath and whispered
“Who is she?”
